With tax season officially over (phew!), we wanted to shed some light on some of the most commonly asked tax questions we received this past week. We also dive into an uncomfortable topic that many families are faced with. A recent study by Bankrate.com came out this week that showed 68% of retirees have made a financial sacrifice to help their adult children with money. This is a reality for so many of our clients and listeners. Given the choice to cut back on your retirement lifestyle so that your children could have a better financial life, would you do it? Or do you feel that you should live your retirement to the fullest and whatever money is left over will go to your kids?
